Federal Opportunity Zones are a new community development program established by Congress in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 to encourage long-term investments in low-income urban and rural communities nationwide.

The Opportunity Zones program provides a tax incentive for investors to re-invest their unrealized capital gains into Opportunity Funds that are dedicated to investing into eligible Opportunity Zones. This webinar will explore how Federal Opportunity Zones can be used to stimulate economic development for the community and create wealth for investors.

Attorney Wachter has become a national leader in the discussion, structure and use of Federal Opportunity Zones as an economic development and wealth creation tool. A speaker at the PEDA 2018 conference held in Erie, he regularly advises governmental, business and nonprofit clients on highly complex legal, regulatory, and public policy related matters.
