Timothy Wachter Named to Transition Team for PA Auditor General Elect Tim DeFoor
Timothy Wachter, Shareholder, has been named to the transition team for Pennsylvania Auditor General Elect Tim DeFoor. The team’s goal is to identify critical issues facing the current Auditor General and to adequately prepare Mr. DeFoor before taking office in January 2021.
Mr. Wachter’s governmental experience, prior to joining Knox Law, includes serving as an aide to Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge, as the Special Assistant for Special Projects to Pennsylvania Governor Mark Schweiker, and working with the Pennsylvania Site Advance Team for the White House. Additionally, he gained economic development experience while working as an Economic Development Analyst at the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. Mr. Wachter also serves as an advisor to candidates for various local, state and national level offices.
At Knox Law, as a member of the Governmental, Public Finance & Bonds and Business & Tax Practice Groups, and as lead for Knox Law Public Strategies, Mr. Wachter regularly advises governmental, business and nonprofit clients on highly complex legal, regulatory and public policy related matters, including the Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law. He also regularly advises businesses and stakeholders regarding Opportunity Zone investments and was recently named to the 2020 Top 25 Attorney Influencers by Opportunity Zones Magazine, as well as The Legal Intelligencer’s 2020 Pennsylvania Trailblazers List.
