Timothy Wachter Chairs Presidential Search For Edinboro University
Timothy Wachter, Shareholder, is Chair of Edinboro University's Presidential Search, as announced on February 4, 2019.
Wachter, who has been a Trustee of the University since 2013, is among 15 members of the search committee, along with 5 alternates. In the University's announcement, he was quoted as saying "The University is seeking an experienced leader with the vision and leadership qualities to build on Edinboro’s resources and reputation and take it to higher levels of academic and student success. The new president will have the opportunity to lead the University to future successes, partner extensively with the community and reside in a beautiful region of Northwestern Pennsylvania.”
As a member of the Governmental, Public Finance & Bonds and Business & Tax Practice Groups at Knox Law, and as lead for Knox Law Public Strategies, Mr. Wachter regularly advises governmental, business and nonprofit clients on highly complex legal, regulatory and public policy related matters. He also regularly provides counsel on matters related to the Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law to dozens of agencies throughout Western Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining Knox Law, Mr. Wachter served as an aide to Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge, as the Special Assistant for Special Projects to Pennsylvania Governor Mark Schweiker, and worked with the Pennsylvania Site Advance Team for the White House. Additionally, he gained economic development experience while working as an Economic Development Analyst at the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. Mr. Wachter also serves as an advisor to candidates for various local, state and national level offices.
