Thomas C. Hoffman, II Speaks at Forest Landowner Conference
Thomas C. Hoffman, II will speak at the 3rd Biennial Forest Landowners Conference in Altoona, Pennsylvania on Saturday, March 25, 2017. The event is hosted by Penn State's Center for Private Forests and College of Agricultural Sciences.
He will speak on "Legacy and Estate Planning for the Woodland Owner," including planning strategies to help protect assets (including forestland) from Medicaid estate recovery, ex-spouses or creditors of your children, and other unforeseen issues.
Over 450 woodland owners, forest practitioners and others interested in woodlands will attend several breakout sessions. 40-50 are expected at Mr. Hoffman's presentation.
At Knox Law, Mr. Hoffman concentrates his practice on closely held business planning, business succession planning, implementation of sophisticated estate and trust planning, administration of complex estates and trusts, and the tax consequences of these matters. He speaks often to a wide variety of audiences on these issues and is passionate about legacy planning for landowners.
