Thomas C. Hoffman, II Speaks at Business Succession Event for Penn State Harrisburg
Thomas C. Hoffman, II, Shareholder, will speak next Tuesday, September 17 at a business succession event for Penn State Harrisburg: "Your Business, Your Legacy: Plan Now and Take Control."
Business owners and professional advisors will also hear from Donald Moore, founder of Decision Associates, Tom Rogerson, founder of GenLeg Co., Inc., and Dara Bachman, wealth strategist at Sageworth Trust. Topics will include family governance, succession planning and legal considerations. There will be a focus on the Family Private Equity Model, which preserves the value and continued success of a family-owned business, even if there is no clear family successor to take over daily management. This model can be a compelling alternative to selling the business to a private equity firm, retaining the business, its employees and its philanthropy in the local market.
