Richard Perhacs and Robert Zaruta Speak at Superintendent Summit
Richard Perhacs and Robert Zaruta, both in Knox Law's Labor & Employment Group, spoke at yesterday's Superintendent's Summit hosted by Riverview Intermediate Unit #6. They spoke to nearly 75 superintendents from schools represented by the IU at Grove City College. Topics included a variety of labor issues affecting school district.
Mr. Perhacs has counseled both local government and business employers for over 40 years on labor and employment law issues. He has represented more than a dozen public school systems. He served four County Executives as Solicitor for Labor Relations for Erie County prior to being appointed as County Solicitor in May 2018.
Mr. Zaruta’s practice is focused on a variety of labor & employment matters, including litigation. He works with both private and public employers, counseling clients on hiring and firing issues, collective bargaining, and compliance with workplace laws including FMLA, USERRA (military leave and reemployment), ADA and more. His practice also includes representing employers in defense of discrimination, sexual harassment, wage and hour, unemployment compensation, and other employment-related claims.
