Nadia Havard Speaks on 10 Retirement Plan Administration Mistakes & How to Fix Them
Nadia Havard will give a presentation on "10 Retirement Plan Administration Mistakes & How to Fix Them" on Friday, January 27. She will speak at the Employer Advisory Council of Mercer County Career Link in Sharon, Pennsylvania. The group hosts monthly meetings for area employers on a variety of topics.
Nadia will review 10 common mistakes that happen in retirement plans and whether they might be corrected by an employer through self-correction programs. Errors often include failure to make RMDs, get loans repaid, using wrong definition of compensation, excluding eligible and including ineligible employees, impermissible in-service distributions, and missing top-heavy and ADP/ACP tests. The program will also discuss the new rules under SECURE 2.0, as related to RMDs and correcting plan mistakes.
At Knox Law, Nadia concentrates her practice in all areas of transfer taxes; qualified and nonqualified retirement plans and employee benefits; fiduciary income tax and trust administration; business; as well as estate planning and administration. She often assists clients with retirement plans regarding drafting and compliance issues.
