Mark Wassell Speaks on Salaried Employees and the Overtime Exemption

Mark Wassell, Shareholder, will speak at the local meeting of Financial Executives International (FEI) tonight, September 9, 2021, on "Salaried Employees and the Overtime Exemption." He will review the “white collar” exemptions under both federal and Pennsylvania laws, and the necessary elements that make a salaried employee exempt from overtime. Mark will also review possible changes in the law expected from President Biden.

At Knox Law, Mark counsels and defends employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. He represents employers in a range of sectors including manufacturing, financial services, healthcare and education. Mr. Wassell’s practice includes hiring and termination issues, claims of discrimination and harassment, drug testing, employee handbooks, employment and severance agreements, grievance arbitration, and collective bargaining. He frequently handles matters before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, the National Labor Relations Board, and similar state agencies.
