Mark Wassell Addresses Privacy in the Workplace and Medical Marijuana Issues
Mark T. Wassell, Shareholder, has a busy week of speaking engagements.
On Wednesday, May 8, he will speak for Mercer County Career Link on "Privacy in the Workplace and the Employer's Right to Monitor Their Employees' Behavior." The event, being held at the Mercer County Career Link office in Sharon, Pennsylvania, starts at 8:00 a.m.
On Friday, May 10, he will speak for Lawrence County Career Link on a "Review of Drug & Alcohol Policies and the Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Act." The presentation is part of their monthly Employer Advisory Council meetings and begins at 8:00 a.m.
He will also speak at HVA Senior Living Alliance's Law Seminar on Thursday, May 9, at which other Know Law attorneys will speak as well. His topic will be the same as on Friday - a review of drug & alcohol policies and the Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Act.
Mr. Wassell counsels and defends employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. He represents employers in a range of sectors including manufacturing, financial services, healthcare and education. His practice includes hiring and termination issues, claims of discrimination and harassment, drug testing, employee handbooks, employment and severance agreements, grievance arbitration, and collective bargaining. He frequently handles matters before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, the National Labor Relations Board, and similar state agencies. He also conducts in house training programs for employers on a number of employment topics and speaks often to a variety of business and HR groups throughout northwestern Pennsylvania and beyond.
