Mark T. Wassell Speaks to Employer Advisory Council
Mark T. Wassell is speaking tomorrow, May 6, at an Employer Advisory Council meeting in Lawrence County. The Council meetings are hosted by PA CareerLink® of Lawrence County and will also include employers from Mercer County.
Mr. Wassell will speak about upcoming, potential changes from the Department of Labor regarding white collar exemptions and related wage & hour issues.
The meeting, being held at PA CareerLink's office in New Castle, is from 8am to 9am and will include refreshments.
Mr. Wassell will travel south again next week for a seminar in Hermitage at which he will speak about discrimination in the workplace, including ADA, pregnancy and LGBT issues. That seminar is co-sponsored by Knox Law, the Community Foundation of Western Pennsylvania & Eastern Ohio, and the Shenango Valley and Lawrence County Chambers of Commerce.
At Knox Law, Mr. Wassell counsels and defends employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. He represents employers in a range of sectors including manufacturing, healthcare and education. His practice includes hiring and termination issues, claims of discrimination and harassment, drug testing, employee handbooks and collective bargaining. He also conducts in house training programs for employers on a number of employment topics.
