Knox Law Institute Hosts Over 100 Professionals at Symposium
The Knox Law Institute hosted over 100 financial professionals at our 7th annual Professional Advisor Symposium on Tuesday, October 15, 2019.
CPAs, CFPs, bankers, insurance and other financial professionals learned about various estate, trust and business law topics throughout the afternoon. The event started with a keynote presentation by Dr. Greg Filbeck, Dean of the Black School of Business at Penn State Behrend. He spoke on "How cognitive and emotional biases affect decision making by individuals and professionals."
Other topics by Knox Law attorneys included estate administration, business succession planning, powers of attorney (including litigation), franchising, trust tax planning, cannabis products and medical marijuana. The afternoon ended with a "tips" panel, during which attorneys gave quick tips in two minutes or less on guardianships, non-disclosure agreements, pre- and postnuptial agreements, irrevocable trust modification, and Opportunity Zones.
