Christine McClure Receives PBA Alpern Award
Christine McClure will receive the Anne X. Alpern award on May 11, 2022 from the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) Commission on Women in the Profession.
Since 1994, the Anne X. Alpern award has been given annually to a female lawyer or judge who "demonstrates excellence in the legal profession and who makes a significant professional impact on women in the law," according to PBA's announcement. Anne X. Alpern was the first female state attorney general in the nation, serving Pennsylvania in 1959.
We are very proud of Chris and her many accomplishments, including (but not limited to) leadership at our firm, for the Erie County Bar Association (ECBA), PBA, and the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation. She successfully argued cases before the U.S. and Pennsylvania Supreme Courts and was the first female recipient of ECBA's Chancellor of the Bar award. She also received the President's Award and the Board of Governor's Service Award from PBA, and was named a "Women Making History" Honoree by the Mercy Center for Women.
