Attorneys Havard and Lasher Speaks to HR Professionals in NCPA

Nadia Havard and Matt Lasher will speak to the NCPA SHRM Chapter on Thursday, November 17. Nadia will speak on "Long-Term Part-Time Employees and 401(k) Plan Coverage," and Matt will speak about recent updates to HR law, and the "Bermuda Triangle" of HR issues: ADA/FMLA/Workers Compensation.

SHRM is the Society for Human Resource Management, which has member chapters throughout the country. Our attorneys have spoken for various chapters throughout the years.

At Knox Law, Nadia concentrates her practice in all areas of transfer taxes; qualified and nonqualified retirement plans and employee benefits; fiduciary income tax and trust administration; business; as well as estate planning and administration. She assists clients with retirement plans regarding drafting and compliance issues. She regularly employs efficient wealth transfer planning techniques and assists clients with estate and tax planning as well as business successions. She also helps nonprofit organizations to obtain and maintain their tax-exempt status. Nadia speaks English, Russian and German.

Matt concentrates his practice on labor & employment law. He assists clients in navigating various workplace matters including the unemployment system, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) guidance, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidance, and more. He drafts and reviews employee handbooks, employment agreements and federal employment litigation documents.
