
Attorney Timothy S. Wachter was recently elected by the Board of Directors of the Erie Downtown Partnership to serve as its President for 2010. "I am honored to be entrusted with the leadership of the Erie Downtown Partnership for 2010," Attorney Wachter stated. "The Erie Downtown Partnership has grown into a successful, relevant membership based organization which is dedicated to the improvement of Erie's downtown business, residential and recreational climate. We are committed to continuing that success in the future."
The Erie Downtown Partnership, formerly known as the Downtown Improvement District, is a nonprofit organization designed to revitalize the Erie, PA downtown by improving its image, business climate, physical environment and design. The Erie Downtown Partnership has partnered with the Redevelopment Authority and the City of Erie in the funding and facilitation of the Downtown Master Plan and the Streetscape Master Plan and has facilitated the development of facade grants as well as the successful Downtown Gift Certificate program. The Erie Downtown Partnership received the coveted Pennsylvania Main Street designation in 2009.
